Blooming Love

EMAP / EMARE art residency program

An Interview with Artist

During the residency artist Daniel Hengst developed his VR artwork Blooming Love. It is an immersive VR experience, in which the visitor finds himself in a seemingly strange and unfamiliar environment. Artist explores how our relationship with plants and nature change when our love to nature becomes very passionate and intimate almost like between two lovers.

An insight into the immersive environment of virtual reality, in which unusual, colorful and fantastic plant shapes intertwine with human body-like shapes.

In the interaction of fantastic plants and bodily forms, intimate and loving relationships are manifested.

Plant shapes and human shapes would be able to touch each other, embrace or even merge.
